Welcome to Architect Gadgets and to the post Top 10 Gifts for Architect boyfriend!
Looking for the best gifts for an Architect boyfriend? Not sure what to give as a gift to your other half? If so, you have come to the right place! As a young male Architect, I am in a very good position to know what your Architect boyfriend would like. We are all different, but at the end, as Architects, we all have similar tastes. So, in the Top 10 Gifts for Architect boyfriend post, I will give you ten ideas that I hope will help you in getting the perfect gift for him.
Before we start listing the products, I would like to explain you quickly how I have chosen them.
The following list comes from narrowing down all the gifts that we like, recommend and that we think would fit into the profile of a male Architect. I like gadgets (otherwise I wouldn’t be doing this website) so you will see that there are quite a few of them here, but I have also added products outside of the tech-savvy world that I thought would make for a nice gift for an Architect.
Here is the list of the Top 10 Gifts for an Architect boyfriend, ordered by price (low to high) with the product details and explanation after it:
- Staedtler pigment liners (Pens for drawing)
- The Architect Says: Quotes, Quips, and Words of Wisdom (Book)
- Google Cardboard (VR headset)
- Rocketbook reusable notebook (Intelligent pen and notebook)
- 3D Printing Pen by Hongdak (3D pen)
- BIJOUONE B202 (Watch)
- Cube’s MoMa (Decoration)
- Frank Ghery’s course
- Sennheiser HD 380 PRO (Noise-isolating Headphones)
- New Matter MOD-T Desktop (3D Printer)
I have personally felt in love with these pens in the last year. They are now one of my main tools for drawing and I cannot speak highly enough about them. They dry really fast and well, which for me has been a game changer as I always had problems with the drawings getting dirty. The different sizes available will add depth to your Architect boyfriend’s sketches. Moreover, they move really well in the paper and the lines are always smooth. A great and inexpensive gift. Maybe not appropriate for a birthday, but an amazing one for other smaller occasions.
Pigment liner bonus sketch set of 6 line widths
4+2 free pack in stand up easel case
Lightfast waterproof smear free ink
If you want a sure bet or can’t spend too much money on the gift, this is a great option. This little book is an easy and fun read with a lot of good quotes in it.
If there’s anything architects like doing more than designing buildings, it is talking about architecture. Whether musing about their inspirations (a blank sheet of paper, the sun hitting the side of a building), expanding on each and every other’s thoughts (on materials, collaboration, clients, and constraints), or dishing out a clever quip, architects make good […]
VR (Virtual Reality) is rapidly getting its way into Architecture for its usefulness. In a few years, it will become part of the design process and part of the meetings with clients. To get your Architect boyfriend started, the VR headset from Google is an inexpensive option, which will already show a lot of the possibilities of this exciting field.
Using your smartphone and VR apps, games, or videos, Google cardboard puts you into stunning environments that stretch out all around you.
Cardboard supports most Android or iOS phones with screen sizes from 4 to 6 inches. It also has an interactive click button that works with all compatible phones.²
Cardboard assembles in three simple steps. It also Features custom-designed, high-quality lenses for immersive visuals and a partially laminated body for durability.
With this intelligent pen and notebook, your Architect boyfriend will be able to save digitally all the information at the same time that he is drawing it. He can then either keep the drawing or delete it and draw again in the same sheet of paper. Very useful to avoid having to scan all your sketches.

Although 3D pens are mainly marketed towards children, I believe they can be a great tool and a great gift for Architects. With a 3D pen, your Architect boyfriend will be able to actually draw a model. This might sound like a crazy concept, but it is something possible with 3D pens. A very good rated product on Amazon is the 3D Printing Pen by Dikale. This gift is especially suited for those Architects that love building models, as it will integrate perfectly into their design process.
Even though we now have our phones with us always, a watch is an elegant and timeless way to make sure you are always on time, plus it doesn’t run out of battery as often as your phone. The BIJOUONE B202, with its minimalist design, will be a great complement to the outfit of any Architect.

Swiss Quartz Calendar movement with analog display
Round watch with Grey dial

As you know, we Architects can be rather picky with the decoration of our house. This set of cubes of different materials will make for a great gift for an Architect boyfriend. Elegant, beautiful and timeless, it will fit with any style, giving the type of personal touch that any Architect would want.
Every of the eight cubes on this collection is product of a unique natural and composite subject matter: maple wood, bakelite, cork, granite, EVA, silicone, acrylic, and aluminum. The Architect’s Cubes may also be combined to create a big cube or arranged for my part as sculptural building blocks. Architects John Bennett and Gustavo Bonevardi […]
Your Architect boyfriend may or may not like Gehry’s architecture, but this is an exceptional opportunity to learn from one of the top architects of our time. This course will get your Architect boyfriend into Frank Gehry’s mind and design process. It is a great present to any Architect and the perfect last minute option as it is fully online and you don’t need to wait for the delivery of the product. Press the “GIFT” button to get this as a gift to somebody else.
If your Architect boyfriend works in an open office and he doesn’t yet have noise-isolating headphones, he will love you for this gift! Want it or not, open offices keep us more distracted than we should be. This is especially critical when you are trying to get a new design nailed, which requires a lot of focus and uninterrupted work. With noise-isolating headphones, you will be able to easily isolate yourself from the noise around you. I got the Sennheiser HD 380 PRO for Christmas a month ago and now I have them on all the time, that is how useful they are. Last week a colleague had to come all the way to my desk because I didn’t realise she was calling me.
This is the most expensive gift of the list, but also the one your boyfriend would probably like the most. 3D printers are one of the new additions to the world in the last years and they are also becoming extremely popular in the architectural world. The technology is currently developing extremely fast and probably things will get much better in the near future, but its newness makes it an unexpected and delightful gift.
You can spend almost as much as you want with this. If you are interested, check our 3D printers section. One 3D printer we like because of its good rating and affordable price is the New Matter MOD-T Desktop 3D Printer.
Elegantly Simple - Easy setup allows you to begin 3D printing within 20 minutes
WiFi Enabled - Print wirelessly from your computer, tablet, or smartphone
High Quality Reliability - Expect a higher print success rate and resolutions as fine as 50 microns
